Do I Need a Life Policy Review?

Ask yourself these questions about your current life insurance policy.  Policy needs typically fall into three areas:

Coverage

1. Do I really have what I think I bought?
2. What is my policy's Face Amount, and do certain policy features increase or decrease that amount?
3. How do the reasons I purchased insurance long ago stack up against my actual needs now?
4. If my health is poor when I leave my job, how much life insurance can I take with me?  Is it portable?
5. What are the critical policy time periods and deadlines (conversion, end dates, and guarantees)?

Performance

1. How is my policy performing compared to what was projected?
2. Do I have enough to accomplish what I originally purchased my life insurance for?
3. Will my policy last longer than I do?
4. Can new products in the marketplace do a better job than what I have?

In the Event of a Claim

1. Are Primary and Contingent beneficiaries really the way I want them?  Relationships change.
2. Do I need a 3^rd Party Authorization on file with my policies so a carrier will speak to my family?
3. How will ownership for policies I own on others (spouse and children) be transferred at my death?  Avoid a nightmare.
